MY FIRST TIME - I HOPE I REMEMBER IT

Not a lot happening. We have had South Easterly gales for the last three days, and some sea-watching has been achieved by those who live north of the Barriers.  For those of us South of the Barriers - the "Council" has recently deemed it fit to close the Barriers if the weather is bad.. Up until two years ago, we actually had to make our own choice on whether  it was safe or not to cross -  we all did it, and we are all still here to tell the tale.

Those of us trapped in the South have had to make do with counting THE Chaffinch, THE Robin, and wondering why chickens can be remarkably thick.

After they spent all summer impressing me with there agility and nous - one spent twenty seconds trying to fly into the hen house before circling back one more time and stunning itself against the wall, three foot above the entrance - the entrance it has spent all its life calmly walking into....

This is still a work very much in progress - it can only get better!!

Cheers,

Paul
