The snow is coming down - heavy, large goose feather flakes like they where in the winter of '63.
I thought to myself - "nostalgia isn't what it used to be" and sat and watched the snow gather on the outside of the window.
Then realised that's exactly what I was doing in '63, up in my bedroom, aged 6 - wondering if the Barn Owls that nested in the chimney pot of the old Manse opposite us where warm, as I sucked on a Kendall Mint Ball my Dad had got me for Xmas. He never learnt, the Xmas presents where found a long, long time before The Day....... 47 years ago - hmmm.
The Barn Owls are long gone, the Manse and gardens too. The places I wandered as a kid are now no more - houses everywhere - but the place, where many of my abiding memories and friendships where formed, is now generating memories for other kids - so be it.
Be glad for the song has no ending.
My lovely wife, apropos of nothing, said - "Wouldn't it be great to run naked round the garden in the snow"
So we did.
.

I love you both dearly.........but I am so glad that was a head shot only! ha haha!!!!
